Essentials of Sonographic Interpretation

White Paper

Finally, a discussion that explains, in plain English, the physical principles underlying the field-specific vocabulary used by sonographers in everyday clinical practice.  Written by a sonographer for sonographers, this generously illustrated white paper addresses the terminology that describes sonographic imaging findings, a necessary prelude to rendering a final diagnosis.  Echogenicity, structural morphology, acoustic physical interactions, image artifacts, and classification of structures are all components of interpreting the “physics pictures” that are sonograms.
